2Pi’s adaptive beamforming algorithm yields precise acoustical capture by extracting the voices of conversation partners from other interfering noises. Performance is guaranteed even for the shortest distances between microphones.
By analyzing the direction of an incoming signal through the use of two microphones forming a sound-axis, only those selected incoming signals that are within focus are captured. At the same time, unwanted signals arriving from the back or sides are suppressed by as much as 30 dB.
Increases intelligibility
Especially in “cocktail party” situations where loud voices collide as numerous speakers compete, the adaptive beamforming feature has proven more effective than any other processing scheme at increasing speech intelligibility.
